With over three decades of experience in the audiovisual industry, I am a seasoned film editor and visual storyteller who has consistently broken new ground. After graduating in Communication (Radio and TV) from FAAP, I began my career in 1989 as one of the first women in TV Cultura's technical department. Following a formative year in England, I transitioned into advertising production before pioneering in the live visual performance scene.
In 2003, I left my role as an assistant director at MTV to pursue video jockeying full-time. By 2004, I became one of the first female VJs invited to perform at the prestigious Skol Beats festival, later taking my live visual craft international with performances in Colombia and France.
Blending my live-editing instinct with traditional post-production, I evolved into a versatile filmmaker, handling projects from concept to final cut. My international work—spanning institutional videos, advertising, and documentary content—has taken me to Tokyo, London, and Luanda. After running my own production studio for three years, I chose to focus exclusively on my true passion: editing.
My recent high-profile editing credits include the travel series Diário do Olivier (GNT), filmed across France, Spain, India, Thailand, and Australia; Alma Viajante (CanalOff), set in Ethiopia; and the surf documentary Elas Dançam com o Mar, featuring global longboard icons like Kassia Meador.
Beyond the timeline, I co-hosted O Arquipélago, a dedicated podcast on film editing, and regularly collaborate with international production companies such as Producing Partners (NY) and Highly Unlikely (London). My latest documentary series, Por Trás do Prato, chef Ana Luiza Trajano, is currently streaming on GNT and Globoplay.
Today, alongside my work as a freelance editor, I serve as President of AMC (Association of Cinema Editors), and 2nd chair in TEMPO Federation, where I advocate for the craft, foster industry excellence, and mentor the next generation of post-production talent.
